God is my light

December 25, 2019

Our readings in today’s celebration echoe on Christ as “The” light of the world.

The first reading from the book of Isaiah reminds us that when God makes a promise, He fulfils. The promises of God are always better and favorable, always in favor His people, not to harm but to comfort, not to destroy but create a future, to give hope not despair.

Nevertheless, I know that there are still some prayers and wishes that are still on ”delay.” But the delays are not God’s disapproval. Often, these are times that God is reminding that He is the only light that makes this world and life go round.

The second reading from the letter to the Hebrews shows God’s infinite love towards His people. I would like to believe that God could not let Himself be far and separate from us, or He could not forgive himself to leave us alone in this world that He sent His only begotten Son to be one of us. Before, God only sent prophets to remind the people of Hos love. But this time, the messeger is now Jesus Christ, The messanger is the message Himself.

In the gospel, John presents Jesus as the true light of the world. But the world did not recognize Him, for many sought light other than Jesus Himself.

After the season of Christmas and New year we will be back into our workplaces and regular schedules. We will be facing new challenges, new troubles to huggle, persons to work with, old and new pains and frustrations to handle. Today’s message reminds us that when we are there, God will always be our light to bring sunshine, comfort, strength, new hope and new beggining.

We don’t have to feel alone anymore. God will always be that light that we need.

So don’t focus too much on this world’s troubles. Instead, focus on what God can do to you. He will surely do anything for you.

God bless!

Destiny

Sometimes THINGS happen almost repeatedly, one mistake today and tomorrow the same mistake you fall. And unbelievably they happen so fast but you can't track them anytime. Seriously! This is really sick! I always make the same mistake knowing that they are going the same route and end in the same feeling.  My heart once advised that the next time it happen it would be a different game, a different feeling of excitement but sadly I was wrong. I still missed the last spark to make the feeling into reality, making the ending open like a movie always creating another sequel to finally seize the whole picture and story. But, maybe there are things that just won’t work out for some people. Instead there are other things that are just meant for them. Well, I heard this from people, and they call it destiny. Crap! If this is what destiny for me, then holy crap! I just can’t figure out how to move next time. Why can’t I just make the perfect move now? I’m not comparing but some people can ...
