God's love never fails.

January 29, 2020
Matthew 4: 1-20

The readings for today carries a clear picture of God's  unfailing love for His people - a promise of providence and protection and a story of unquenchable affection.

God's word to King David reminds him the many wondrous deeds He has done to him. From being a shepherd to a king and to the many battles and enemies he destroyed, God has always been at his side. And when David will end his thrown, God will deliver a new king out of his son to continue his legacy. He will also be a son to Him as He will be his God. A total assurance for David that whatever may happen He will never leave him.

The same message comes from the gospel. The parable of the sower who generously sows seeds to different kinds of soil, good and bad shows God's gratuituos love - free and unconditional.

Perhaps some of us are still struggling from many undesirable things. Maybe some are still having some problems in the family or even in relationship. Hearts still full of anger and fear or worries. Or maybe some have prayed to little lately, been out of the church for years now, struggling with addictions and all sorts. Whatever maybe is there in you heart right now, God still loves you. God still pours out His love and grace on you, not because you are doing good or bad but simple because God's love never changes. It does not stop.

I'm sure God knows everything about you - your past mistakes, your crazy little things, every detail in your life. And that does not stop Him from loving you everyday. And everyday, I know His love is working for you. Maybe the effect of that is not yet so clear now, but one day that love will surely be visible, and will manifest in your life. I know God will never fail you. His love will never fail.

God bless!

Destiny

Sometimes THINGS happen almost repeatedly, one mistake today and tomorrow the same mistake you fall. And unbelievably they happen so fast but you can't track them anytime. Seriously! This is really sick! I always make the same mistake knowing that they are going the same route and end in the same feeling.  My heart once advised that the next time it happen it would be a different game, a different feeling of excitement but sadly I was wrong. I still missed the last spark to make the feeling into reality, making the ending open like a movie always creating another sequel to finally seize the whole picture and story. But, maybe there are things that just won’t work out for some people. Instead there are other things that are just meant for them. Well, I heard this from people, and they call it destiny. Crap! If this is what destiny for me, then holy crap! I just can’t figure out how to move next time. Why can’t I just make the perfect move now? I’m not comparing but some people can ...
